Leadership Under Martial Law

President Marcos brought so much development and economic growth to the country but the 20 yr. administration was also ridden by intrigues and accusations of abuse of power and corruption. The government of Marcos was backed up by the military, they controlled everything. Martial law means all powers were vested on the President who rules as a dictator. There were so many cases of human rights abuse. Public outrage led to the snap elections or the failure of it due to massive cheating of the Marcoses. He was ousted from power in the EDSA Revolution.
