Our Beach-ilicious Bohol Adventure

We had the first flight going to Bohol, but we were all pumped up and excited so we did not really feel tired!

While we were waiting to board our plane, we ate pasta, drank icy cold milo, and had cheesy pringles chips.

When we rode the airplane, I was lipsyncing to my favorite songs, hope nobody saw that... We arrived in the Tagbilaran Airport, I enjoyed zooming around there with my heelies. It was so hot, but guess who greeted us at the airport!!!

Sobrang mainit dito! , ngunit hulaan na binati kami sa airport?

Correct! It is a tarsier! We got a service van to take us to the extraodinary places in the country side of Bohol. The driver's name is Melbert, he was very friendly. Tama!

When we arrived at the Tarsier Sanctuary, we saw a stand that sold organic worms, I found out that it was crunchy snacks for people!!! My family tried it, they really liked it so I took one nibble of the worm, it tasted weird but good, It was very crunchy and a bit spicy.

When we hiked up, it was very hard to see a tarsier because theywere the same color as the branches of the trees. When I finally found a tarsier, I was really happy because it is the first time I saw one in real life! It looked very very adorable! It also looked like a monkey/ mouse, don't you think??? Our next stop was the man-made forest. We took pictures in the middle of the highway. We ran to our van whenever there were cars approaching, then if the pictures we took are blurry, we ran back to the street and did the exact thing over again till we get the perfect picture.

After that, we headed to a landform that is still a mystery to scientists till now. Can you guess what it is? There is a legend about it, Once upon a time, there were two giants, one from the North and one from the South. They fought against each other, throwing balls of mud . After the big battle, they saw big mounds of hills that looked like chocolates. That why those hills are called the Chocolate Hills.

We headed to the Loboc River to have lunch at the floating boats but started having motion sickness so we left right after eating.

We went to the Python Farm to visit the stuffed remains of Prony, the biggest snake in Bohol. It died August 14, 2013. Me and my brother kept on pestering my parents for a pet snake, they sell snakes there too you know. But of course, they refused.

We visited the first church in Bohol, the Baclyaon Church. It got destroyed because there was an earthquake. We also went to the Sandugo monument. Binisita namin ang unang iglesia sa Baclyaon . Ito nawasak dahil nagkaroon ng lindol . Nagpunta din kami sa Sandugo monumento.

The Sandugo history started with Miguel Lopez de Legaspi arriving in Bohol in 1962, he became an ally of Datu Sikatuna and they had the blood compact to signify their unity and brotherhood.

We arrived at our hotel, I think it was the nicest hotel I had ever seen, South Palms. They gave us complimentary drinks, It was cucumber lemonade!!! The hotel rooms were just in front of the beach. We ordered Ube turon and it is now my favorite dessert. It has mangoes inside the hot tasty lumpia wrapper with an icy refreshing ube ice cream! We ordered around 9 orders of that in total. The next day,we decided to go to Alona Beach.

We rode the shuttle to go to Alona Beach It was very crowded and noisy. We did not eat lunch there anymore. We went to Tarsier Botanika, we rode the tricycle going there and the funniest part is that my whole family rode the tiny tricycle, My dad drove it, while the tricycle driver sat behind dad. It was such a funny moment. When we arrived there, Dad's body ached because he could not fit in the tricycle . It looked so beautiful. It was everything we ever wanted in a restaurant in a hot sunny day. They even have imported horses and you can ride them on the beach, a mini zoo, spa, tasty resturant, a perfect view of the sea, villas and a botanica. We ate a tasty lunch! Masyadong masikip at maingay doon. Hindi na kami kumain ng tanghalian doon. . Sobrang maganda dito!

Back at the hotel, while having dinner at their buffet, there was a Filipino Folk Dance Show where they preformed some of the folk dances. I even got to join the Tinikling dance. We also had lechon, I ate a pig's tail!

The next day, it was our last day at Bohol, we decided to make Bohol Bee Farm our last stop. It was very nice there, although we did not have enough time to look around, we got to buy wild honey and honey ice cream. It was really yummy!

I think now, I really miss Bohol, the beach, the sights, the people and of course, I cannot forget the Ube- turon! I hope to go back there soon!!!!
