Chinchillas or Chinchila Lanigera are Crespecular, they are usually very active at dusk or dawn. They tend to over heat, so they need good temperature. Their species are already threatened because they are being hunted for their fur. Chinchillas require very high maintenance. They clean themselves through dust baths.
