" To the contented, even poverty is a joy. To the discountent, even wealth is a vexation"

- Chinese proverb

What does "To the contented, even poverty is a joy. To the discontent, even wealth is a vexation" mean? I think it means those who are contented are rich but those who are discontent are poor. Contentment is realizing that true happiness does not depend on material things. A lot of people suffer from this and the consequences are usually suicides. The rewards here is true happiness. When I look at the less fortunate people smiling, it makes my heart warm. All you need to do is to be thankful for what you have and not be jealous of other people's belongings.
